SOLD - MKIV for sale in NY - Well that was fast
Hello, I have decided to list my 2022 (completed and registered in NY) Factory Five Roadster. I loved everything about building this car. So much so that I would like to sell it and build another one .
Frame serial number 10008, delivered in March 2021. Completed and registered summer 2022. I have listed it on Facebook Marketplace (link to that listing here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p1P4R...ibextid=79PoIi ) and the FFR forum. I plan to leave it listed for the next month or so before going to Bring a Trailer. Please DM if you have any interest or follow the FB link.

I have the itch to build another one. I really enjoyed that part more than I expected to. After you do anything for the first time you have a list in your head on what you might do differently. I was at a car show last month and a young man made an absurdly high offer for the the car. I knew it was nonsense but it got me thinking what I would do if I sold it and I realized I was very excited by the idea of doing it again. I have no regrets, car runs and looks great. I just want to keep building and I don't have the resources to keep this one and start another.

Dang Marine, seems like we were just building yours and mine at the same time. Remember I stole several ideas from you!
Sorry to hear you are selling, the car is simply outstanding.

So, the car is likely sold. By likely I accepted a cash deposit and waiting for a wire transfer for the rest. So it is mostly sold but not quite yet. I did get full asking price and either I hit the value on the mark or should have asked more. lol
Either way I am ordering a new kit tonight and will see if I can talk them into a repeat customer fall sale extension

I’m going to build another roadster. Based on what I learned and now with a much healthier budget I’m going to take another bite at the apple.

Good to hear! Ideas on the new build?

Yeah man, lots of them. I built the first one on a budget and made a lot of choices with resale in mind. Also a little fear of the unknown.
This one is for me. I hope it works out. I am going with IRS and a Coyote this time. It will be a very modern roadster, no connection to the original. Custom interior, I am flirting with a digital dash, chin spoiler maybe some body mods. It will have cats and I think I want to weld in mufflers. I want a deeper sports car kind of sound. 18 inch wheels (forgstar are the current leader in the clubhouse) but still looking. I am looking for something very specific. I like a deep well sunburst style, BMW has some great examples of what I like.
2 inch roll bars, maybe 1 3/4.

I think you have a real eye for styling so I can't wait to see what you do next.
That's what I love about these cars is that they are truly an expression of the owner's personality.
One suggestion for your next build is to consider going with 17's up front with 18's out back like I recently did.
Running that combo cheats the eye because the 255/40-17's are 25.00" tall while the 295/35-18's are 26.01" tall.
