    New build in California

Hello FFR world! New member/builder here. I ordered my complete MKIV kit in early May 2024, completion date was 5/25/24, and Stewart Transport delivered on 6/9/24 (cannot say enough good things about Todd and Mark).
I'm located in California (Bay Area) and wondering who my FFR litter mates are. My delivery was the last off the truck, and Mark mentioned his previous delivery before mine was in the Pleasanton/Dublin area?

Please bear with me as I learn to navigate the forums.

Welcome, and congratulations on the new kit. There are lots of FFR builders in the Bay Area. Whereabouts in the Bay Area are you? I'm down in the south bay (Los Gatos). There's a group of FFR builders down here that meet for breakfast every Saturday.

    Hi John,
Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Santa Clara. The wife and I have dinner in Los Gatos once a month or so. Where do you guys meet at? I'll need to make it down there one of these Saturdays. I see many forum members have a description of their builds in the footer of their posts. I'll need to figure out how to add mine.

Of course.... I should have paid more attention to your forum name. I grew up in Santa Clara.

The group meets at the Los Gatos Diner on Hwy 9. They're usually there by 8:00 or 8:15 every Saturday. I don't go that often but try to pop in and say hi every now and then. let me know if you plan to go and I'll try to make it over there.

Same here--born and raised in Santa Clara. I've started viewing your build thread (very clean build by the way). For sure, it'll be one of several that I refer to during my build. I'll definitely reach out to you when I plan to make it out to the Los Gatos Diner.

    Thanks guys.
facultyofmusic - another excellent build thread. I think that makes 7 threads I have saved for future reference....there's nothing like trying to drink from the firehose.

Hello, I'm also new the community and looking to place my order next year. I live in Santa Cruz but the order will be a suprise birthday order for my father in-law back in Indiana. I would love to stop by and meet the community here and get others thoughts. Is this invite only or can I just show up sometime.

Hi bigk7007 and welcome to the community. I'm up here in Santa Clara, but feel free to let me know if you want to stop by and see what to expect early on in the build process.

So interesting watching this thread. (1 week-old owner of Mk IV complete kit in Junction City, OR), but lived in Aptos for 40 years until 2 years ago (got married!).
Born in San Jose in 1950 and saw the huge transition of Santa Clara County -- so it's great to see all the owners sprinkled about the county and beyond.
I have family & friends in the Santa Cruz area -- and so with luck, next year I'll trailer my car down there (maybe...).

    Hi James,
We've got quite the EPowerSteering club going on here in the Bay Area. What part of SJ are you in? I plan to make it to the breakfast get-together in Los Gatos one of these Saturdays. Hope to meet you (and others) there.
I met SJDave a few weeks ago....he is probably the kindest, and most generous, person I've met in a long time.

    Hey John,

I am in South San Jose, SJDave helped me get mine installed and setup on the weekend, he is an awesome person. Everytime I meet him I end up buying even more tools lol. I hope to meet you at breakfast soon.

    Hi James,
I think Dave was trying to get both of our setups done in parallel this last weekend, but both of our vacation schedules didn't sync up. We're doing my setup this weekend. I hope you guys worked out any kinks
