    Drivers door latch Mk3

    Looking for a driver side door latch for my Mk3.
    Let me know if anyone has anything

    Did yours break? If so they are repairable. A simple carriage bolt to hold the whole thing together.

    Not sure exactly what happened yet. a few weeks ago the knob snapped off the release lever, then a couple days ago I couldn't open the door, lever moves, but won't release.

    You're right. took it apart yesterday, looked up the carriage bolt fix. Looks like these things are designed to fail. Guess I'll upgrade the passenger side before it breaks.

    Good idea. Another mod I’m doing this weekend is adding rivnuts to secure the latch to the door. The included screws have worked themselves loose in the 20k miles I’ve put on my MKIII since completion. The new redesigned latches use larger rivnuts so I’m gonna try that on the older style ones too…
