    E-Stop Location

    I have not got the engine or floor pans in and I thought, if I was going to use an alternate location for the E-Stop, now would be the time to do it. What are some of the locations folks have used and what additional parts or cables were required?

    I have put mine just below the 3/4" tubing just beside & behind the shifter location.
    Turned the mounts upside down & used rivet nuts to anchor it right through the frame..
    The only additional part needed was the Lokar cable block.
    Cut off enough cable to shorten it to fit my desired location.
    Just watch where you pick for the handle. I put mine a little to close to the shifter boot.
    I did get the rear brakes offered from FF not Wilwoods.

    I used a somewhat unconventional location, but it worked really well.

    Jim, yes they're the stock cables from the 2015+ Mustang. I had to modify the lengths a bit, but it's not difficult.

    I would NOT put it in the transmission tunnel. Just think how difficult it'll be to service it, or adjust the cables. Crossways in the trunk or like OB6

    The top of my transmission tunnel is held in place with rivnuts and SS bolts. Quickly removable.

    I have mine in the same place as OB6 - works great and easy access.

    Where do you think I got the idea? LOL. I should have given credit in my post above.

    Ha! No credit needed - it was fun to see someone else put it there, glad it worked out for you.

    Going to add an access panel in the trunk to make servicing easier.

    This is where I mounted mine as well. IRS rear suspension. I thought about an access panel in the trunk, but it's not too difficult to service from under the car.

    @OB6

    Did you notice any binding of the actuator in this location between the reaction bracket and mechanism? It looks like the cable take a bit of sharp bend to meet this location, however I really like this location otherwise.

    Did you notice any binding of the cable between the reaction bracket and actuator? I like the location, but the angle of the short cable looks like it may bind when releasing tension from this image.
