I feel like giving up ...

Real bad season so far, blown head gaskets (yes both sides), electrical short, crash into tire wall, leak in brand new Fluidyne radiator core and the season is not yet half way through, this is the worst and most expensive season I have had.

    Sorry to hear Tony
Its been tuff for us also.
    1 engine for Jim
    2 engines For John.
    Fuel cell issues on both
Trying to fit in the all the race prep while doing the normal work is ruff.
    but we will be triumphant.
Keep your chin up and your foot down.
    you will be ok

Hey at least you're out there. I'd love to race; just haven't made the time with a family to support.

You can't have peaks without valleys! Don't EVER give up; it's only a test of you're resolve! It'll come together again, you'll see.

    Keep the pedal down brother!

Some days/season you're the windshield. And sometimes you're the bug. Cheer up, press on, and don't sweat it too much. Things could be worse - you could be not racing.

    Tony,

I think you are "paying the piper" so to speak. All that fun you have had with not so many breakdowns will statistically catch up with you over time. I've heard it is somewhat economical to race a FFR but seeing the cost of track tires and wheels, clutches and other things that will wear over a season, I don't call that cheap. Don't know what you guys spend on average but it's not a cheap hobby for sure. But the FFR is a tough little car. So you should be OK when things level out again. Good luck, WEK.

Christian,We have to run spec engines if we are doing the FFR challenge series.

Tony, I am right there with you.

Here is what we have dealt with recently:
    Engine build/fuel mix issues- fixed
    Blown t5
    Blown clutch
    Blown fluidyne radiator.
Broken dipstick mount leading to a blown out dipstick then an oil endured spin
    Damaged fuel cell casing.

    It's been a rough 16 months.

MPTech, you must not have had as bad a day at the track as I have or as cool a job as I do.
Tough times at the track can test you resolve but when you compare the good time to the bad times the good makes up for the bad.
