I'm planning on driving my 818C to H.B. It's 400 miles so I'll be nervous driving with crossed fingers! I haven't been to this event before but I know the standards are very high, so I've got a lot of work to do before leaving. My goal is to not embarrass myself among all the pristine builds.
818S/C : Chassis #25 with 06 WRX 2.5 turbo, ABS, cruise, PS, A/C, Apple CarPlay, rear camera, power windows & locks, leather & other complexities. Sold 10/19 with 5,800 miles.
    Mk3 Roadster #6228 4.6L, T45, IRS, PS, PB, ABS, Cruise, Koni's, 17" Halibrands, red w/ silver - 9K miles then sold @ Barrett-Jackson Jan 2011 (got back cash spent).

I wish my 818 were street legal and further wish I lived in proximity to HB.....have a great time and I second the request for some photos!

We've never had more than one 818 at the event. Bring them out kids! Finished or unfinished! That's what Uhauls are for!

I may trailer my 818R down, just hope there is a place close by to stash the trailer, other issues is that opening season race is the same weekend.

I will not be able to make it this year (with car or otherwise) but will absolutely be bringing the car down next year.

Hi George, I'm replying to your comment from another thread here.

If all you lack is rolling stock and really want to trailer your build up to HB, you're welcome to borrow mine.

I sold my donor wheels, and bought rims/tires to trailer it home from Ted's place once it was a roller. But my build is going ssllooww, and won't be needing them soon.

I'm not going to trailer my build up, but I put a bit of effort into customizing the centercaps for my XXR's with a FFR logo, and wouldn't mind those being seen!

Hi Lee, thanks for the offer. I think we're in a race for last place with our builds. Work and life in general, is sucking up all the time. I'll let you know if it will work out. Still trying to find out who in my group will be going.

I'm really loving everything hinged on this car, and the vintage Fiero locking hood prop!
I'm wondering what to do with the rear AWIC bracket, it currently has a dogbone mount.

That's a bummer, but I can't say I blame you. Track over show any day!

Best of luck to you this weekend Tony!

Looks like we'll have a couple this year. Even you don't bring your 818 come on out and say hi, we'll have a booth set up!

I only got 2, we ended up not being able to do the booth due to a flu that hit the crew last week. I did stop by shortly and I think there were 6 this year which is BY FAR the best turnaround of 818 to date so great job guys!!
