Very Cool Photos!! Thank you for posting them!

My son and I were very glad to meet you at the open house. Thank you for taking the time to show us the Roadster with the Elise seats.

    Cheers!

oooh, nice pics. They show some good detail. I'm glad I went and bought some WRX mirrors instead of the F430 replicaos since they changed the mounting location.

Great photos! From the top of the transmission (allowing for some folil insulation and a layer of fiberglass) to the bottom of themtrunk lid how deep is it? Nice shot of the hinge there.

Seeing these photos of the front make me want to drive it without a front tag till I get a ticket.

I dunno, i still think they look oddly big for this car. I'm going to have to run something different, either the 818r mirrors or perhaps the APR little carbon fiber race mirrors.

Thanks for the pics david, very detailed. Looks to me like the 818S needs larger diameter rubber, cause its looks like it needs to be lowered, which isn't an option.

Are they modified factory mirrors then?

    Great pictures!

In love with the bumper exit exhaust on the R as well as the additional rear venting.

Wonder how many of the subtle differences will be options on the S version. I'm going with S version but would love to have the above 2 features on my car.

    Hi David,

Do you have any video from the drive to the beach with the GoPro mounted on the 818S? After toying with us for a little bit of course

    Cheers!

Any close up of the tire sizes on the R. Is factory five planning on manufacturing a trunk compartment or fender liners? I know nothing is included now but an option down the road?

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TALL YOU ARE?

I see an image if you sitting in the white 'S' and your head looks like it would not pass the ol 'broom stick' test.
What was visibility like through the front screen? did you have to bend your neck to get under the eye line of the front screen?

PLEASE let me know the height of the man sitting in the 'S'
I am 6.5 and really want a tall bloke to comment on this.

Glad to see a thread with more 818 oriented pics (and thorough). I do have some questions though:
    - Is the mesh grill (front/back) standard, an option, or made for the 818 at the OH?
    - Are the hood-pins necessary?
    - The interior that the OH 818 had wasn't standard, the kit comes with some carpet etc... to make it less of a frying pan right?
    - Why is it so sexy?????

I'm pretty sure he's 6'7, as noted in his wookie thread. Also those seats are not the lowest option, i beileve the kirkneys in the 818R will be. However i haven't seen any pics showing how high off the floor their mounted.

They do look odd, but in terms of speed to road worthy, factory mirrors are best for now. I sold mine off (they were WRB anyways). I still want F430 mirrors, but it looks like they would take more work to mount.

It looksl ike they took of the factory mounting triangle and made a custom piece that attaches directly to the vertical axis hinge.

+10 on the great pictures. I recommend to all to check out David's album in the gallery, a lot of very good pics. Wonder if a couple nuts and bolts will be enough for the joining the body parts together. It would seems like a weak point for stress cracks.

You are the biggest guy I know ever to sit in a roadster
Now seeing you in the 818, looks like you are right at home and then some
Good info "type" pics , thanks
For me, adjustable seating is a must in this car

    Great pics!

This tells me that for my white 818S to satisfy me I'm going to need a carbon hood, carbon GT wing (not as high as the one on the 818R), carbon mirrors, and carbon gas cap and other little stuff.

Based on the prototype S, I was also planning on the APR carbon fiber mirrors also. However, I think the new mounting looks good and will probably use my donor's mirrors.

My donor was white, and I don't plan to paint my 818. If the Subaru white is close enough to the gel-coat, I may not paint them. Otherwise, they'll be painted black.
