The FRS/BRZ engine would be a lot of work because the tranny bolt pattern is not the same as the EJ series tranny we need to use. If you can get around that it would be a great ST3 combo. However they regularly fail under high G lateral loads. There is no dry sump option I'm aware of. And even Phil says the best answer for a BRZ is his LS engine swap kit!
The 2015 WRX works because it does use the same bolt pattern, but now you have new issues with the turbo fitment.
Failing under high G loads is just a Subaru being a Subaru. ;D
But yes I agree with you in that the issues you described are concerns. Honestly if someone wanted to do any 08+ engine including 6cyl we would help the cause.

Oh man, wish I knew that before I did everything myself! I just finished the wiring harness for a 2013 EZ36R H6 in my 818R.
