Also, I've upgraded your account for full access.

Those are my boys in picture that will help me build every bit of car. I purchased a brand new BBM block and heads (427 type) but will end up being a 482 with about 550 horsepower when done. I have a 2-4 barrel set up, (blue thunder) and a top loader all parts in storage in colorado except kit which I stored on east coast. Bought smiths gauges and other little items to make it look original. This is my third cobra and I usually run them hard and a lot, last one I sold before moving to Italy and it had 54,000 miles on it. The next eleven months we have left in Italy will give me time to get the few items I need to build. Ordered car with powder coated frame, ff5 lower control arms, rectangular tail lights, center support under dash, 15 inch wheels, and 4 link rear. 4 link because I realized after my last cobra I like launches more than corners so independent rear wasn't necessary.

Finally moving back to states in 3 months can't wait to start building
Finally back in states in Owings Maryland. Car is in my garage but waiting on storage from Colorado for engine and trans. Has anyone used a 4 speed toploader with a 427 in one of these and if so what problems did you encounter? Also put front a arms on and was going to put brackets on spindles, do bolts come in kit to attach or are the bolts from donor struts?

IMG_7876 2.JPGIMG_7940 1.JPG finally getting some stuff done after move back from Italy
IMG_7958 1.JPGSuspension and some sheet metal done. Now if I could get my stuff from storage, Tools and engine transmission, I could accelerate this project.
IMG_7974 1.JPGsheet metal mostly complete body back on. Am I lucky because body is centered and it doesn't look like ill have to trim any aluminum panels?
All of my 427 FE stuff will be here on 6 Sept along with 4 speed toploader so I can get on the engine build.
Great engine plans. Looking forward to it all.

Good luck as you get things going! I am sure it has been frustrating waiting for your pieces and parts to arrive.
I have to say that you look a lot younger than I thought you were. The picture of you working on the driver's front makes you look very young! ;o-)
I look forward to following along with your build.
Regards,
Steve
If only I was as smart as my 10 year old. I show him stuff once and I think he could build car by himself. The most fun part of the build will be the engine after it arrives from storage next week. I had a 427 FE in my first car, but this one is going to be built exactly the way I wanted when I built my other cobras and couldnt find the parts.
You know, it only gets worse. As my kids got older, they always knew the right way to do something (they always remind you that they do!), they just refused to do it. HA!
Will you be posting your engine build progress? It would be great to watch a big block rebuild!
Your boy looks happy in that picture. I hope he enjoys the engine build as well.
Regards,
Steve
I will be showing build as it comes together.

IMG_8016 2.jpg First ride for boys, engine is almost ready to install
IMG_8022 4.jpg Heads, oil pan and intake on this week and hopefully ready to go. 482 FE should move this car ok. If anyone ever does a side oiler block you have to grind and modify the left insulator.

Engine Trans finally
Adam-
Wow, very nice; she looks good in there! Congratulations on your progress, and I look forward to seeing more updates.

Steve
Thanks, i want to have car look and feel like it would have in 1965. Engine is 482 instead of 427 but it looks exactly the same except with a little more horsepower.
